Description: A Grief Observed was written by C.S. Lewis in the middle of heartbreak. It isn’t a book of neat answers, but an honest look at what grief can feel like when faith is shaken. Lewis wrestles openly with doubt, anger, love, and hope, often giving words to questions many of us carry silently. As we move through the book together, one chapter at a time, we’ll talk about what stands out to us, connect Lewis’s reflections to Scripture, and, as we feel comfortable, share from our own experiences of grief. We’ll end by watching Shadowlands, which brings Lewis’s story to life. This time together is meant to be open and thoughtful, grounded in the truth that God meets us in our sorrow and that we do not walk through grief alone.
