ADULT FELLOWSHIP GROUPS

Fellowship Groups meet Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:00 AM. All groups are open to singles or couples. The groups also get together regularly for social events, and provide a good context for developing close, interpersonal relationships. If you are not currently part of a group consider joining one.  For more information contact the church office.
New Creation
New Creation is for young adults 18 to 30+ years of age who are in college or working. Time is spent in fellowship, sharing what is happening in our lives and in prayer. After fellowship time we move into a lesson or attend Sunday School electives. We enjoy getting together for fellowship activities such as Sunday afternoon lunch, social nights and holiday coffee houses.
Disciples

The Disciples group was recently formed for those ranging in age from mid-20's to mid-30's. Time is spent sharing prayer requests and getting to know one another better. Outside social events are also planned.

Followers

Most members of the Followers Fellowship Group are in their late 20's to late 30's. The group includes parents with children, newborn to 12 years old.  They spend Sunday mornings in prayer and fellowship, sharing praises and concerns with each other. Once a month, they have a social event. During these events (some of which have become traditions), they eat, play games, laugh and get to know each other better. Occasionally these events include bowling, baseball games, or barbecuing.

Cornerstone
Cornerstone is a "30-40 something" low-key fellowship group with children ranging in age from toddlers to college.  On Sunday mornings they meet for sharing and prayer and some planning of yearly gatherings like a Christmas dinner, a Bread and Soup dinner, a summer outing, and a September picnic. Leadership is shared month by month by volunteers who lead the fellowship time. They keep absent members abreast of prayers and activities with a weekly report placed in church mailboxes.  Some members can't be there on Sunday mornings, but can and do come to their great parties.
Agape
Agape is a young-family fellowship group. Parent's ages range from the late 30's to the late 40's.  Children's ages range from infants to young teenagers. The group is focused on fellowship with each other and support in our walk with the Lord. We plan monthly activities outside the church to foster our fellowship group unity and outreach.
Believers
Most of the people in Believers Fellowship are in their late 30's to early 50's. Children range in age from middle school to post high school. On the first Sunday of the month we include a regular time for sharing and prayer. We get to know each other up close and personal in an interview of an individual or couple on 2nd Sundays. On 3rd Sundays, we break into smaller groups and record specific prayer requests to pray for during the month.  Singing praises and prayer is our goal for the 4th Sunday, and a time of food and fellowship is the theme for those 5th Sundays. Once a month we have an activity such as bowling, monté carlo night and picnics.
Seekers
This group ranges in age from late 30's to late 50's.  The format is a sharing and prayer time during Sunday mornings, with an emphasis on getting to know each other better.  Quite often there are social activities and service projects such as working around the church.
Koinonia

The Koinonia Fellowship Group is a lively bunch of people in their late 40's to early 60's. They are a group of "Empty-Nesters" who enjoy having fun and a great time. They try to meet once a quarter for a large group activity such as a New Year's Eve Party or a summer picnic. They also have what they call "Friends & Memories" groups.  These are small groups of about 6-8 people that get together once a quarter just to get to know each other on a more personal basis. These groups are changed yearly. They do a fund raiser/service project once a year like selling Entertainment Books and donating the funds to several causes within the church and community.

Ambassadors

The Ambassador Group is for our seniors. They intentionally focus both internally and externally.  Sharing and prayer are regular features of their meeting times as they learn to know and support each other better. Fellowship is fostered by such events as a summer corn roast, bus trips and meeting in annually re-organized "dinner for eight" groups. Relating to our broader world, the Ambassadors are actively involved in supporting a number of scholarships for young students in India.  Presently, they are enjoying a partnership relationship with a BIC church in northeast India.
